Hangeul is the Korean alphabet invented by King Sejong, the 4th King of the Joseon Dynasty(1392~1910)era.
Hangeul is a phonetic writing system, which means that we can represent the sounds of Hangeul in writing. There are 14 consonants (ㄱ,ㄴ,ㄷ,ㄹ,ㅁ,ㅂ,ㅅ,ㅇ,ㅈ,ㅊ,ㅋ,ㅌ,ㅍ,ㅎ)and 10 vowels (ㅏ,ㅑ,ㅓ,ㅕ,ㅗ,ㅐ,ㅜ,ㅠ,ㅡ,ㅣ) in Hangeul. The consonants were patterned after the vocal organs and vowels were modeled after the heaven, the earth, and man.The Hunminjeongeum, the book including the newly made Korean alphabet.
I will introduce you a Korean a day. ^ㅡ^(smile)
